This filter housing has a maximum operating pressure rating of 90 psi, if you suspect that your water pressure will at any time exceed 80 psi, a pressure regulator MUST BE INSTALLED before the filter housing. this action will guard against the water pressure exceeding the maximum pressure rating.it is recommended that the pressure regulator be set at 70 psi or less.

Geekpure 4.5x20 housings have worked very good for me. Heavy duty and well made. I have not experienced any leaks of any kind out of the 4 that I have purchased.
Looks very nice .
Like: Brass threaded inserts in the in- and out-flow ports. Easy to see the filter condition. Bomb-proof material.Dislike: Threads of the clear filter canister are slightly different than the older Big Blue units so I couldn't just change the canister (I wanted to go from the solid blue to the clear). I had to change the top (reconnect plumbing to the in/out ports) as well. No instructions included. Yes, they are online but a simple sheet would have helped. I used 15+ turns of teflon tape on the threads, just like the old plastic-threaded version.
We use this filter in our restaurant. It is constructed well and is easy to install. I would definitely recommend it.
I saw a few negative reviews so I was initially hesitant to purchase the filter. I purchased a few and this is my review of the unit. The filter housing and price are good. The plastic part can not take the heat from soldering the copper pipes, therefore; the soldering needs to be completed for a short distance before attaching it to the housing. In case that you are familiar with plumbing and have experience then purchase the model with 1" fittings (this model) as it includes a brass insert in the plastic housing which is stronger and less susceptible to getting damaged during installation. Here are a few recommendation to prevent the filter or housing from leaking:- Use the pink Teflon tape on the threads- Apply O-ring lubricant to the O-ring washer in the housingWe have been this and other filters with the city water and we have noticed a significant improvement in the quality, taste and smell of the local water.
